It's something between hate and love, at the moment my feelings of hate are definitely stronger and I could kick her for being such a diva. There's always something about this machine, right now we are having tension problems again!!
Bernina's intentions when planning this machine were probably the best but to me she's not running as smoothly as she should for a baby in that price range. I spend more time fixing problems and trying different tensions, threads, needles in order to get a nice result than finally quilting - which was the motivation to buy her. As I'm always questioning me first, I thought it was my fault, that I was treating her bad and therefor she was grumbling and we were having quite an ambivalent relationship. But after a couple hours of internet research it seems like I'm not alone...there are more out there having trouble with this species. perhaps we should found a group like 820s Anonymous...would you be a member? Let me know!!

Did your machine get all necessary updates? I have had the same troubles myselve and after updates most problems are solved.

ReplyDeleteIn fact I was to the dealer again on Wednesday. She's doing a little better now after an update and a new needle plate. He recommended to use the straight stitch needle plate to get better results. Though I'm still not 100% satisfied of the stitches. I'll post a few pictures later today to show.
